Identify the pattern and then let it go. Remember that everything is manifested by your mind through habitual patterns. This is a plain and simple fact. It is nothing more or less than that. Introspection and Meditation can help you stay calm and let go of negative patterns. So you must practice regularly. Do not argue with others. Instead, look within and let go. Calmness and acceptance are essential aspects of Zen. They invite a state of inner peace that is much bigger and more powerful than the tiny prison cell of your old thought patterns.
